"NO NAME"

Yeah, so I couldn't come up with a "title" for this blog....sue me!

Wondering where the heck my Super Sib #2 is and/or has been...other than Mexico or wherever the fam went last week....she has been AWOL from her blog site for WAY too long. Come on Deed...get on the stick! I know, work is a drag when you have been away....find a minute or two and keep me/us up to date!

As for my site...no one seems to care (sigh)! I never get comments, so I must be boring the heck out of you all or something! haha I sure am boring the heck out of me tonight!!!!!!! Watching and listening to the Sox game at the moment...gotta love it when we lose and the Yankees do as well! Cannot believe we are still in first place...

So, I never did get down to visit Mom...ooooops. Thought about it; just never did it. I will though...soon I hope.

FYI...for those poor souls who have to work all summer....only 34 more days of school left.....AND COUNTING!!!!! I must confess, I DO love that part of my job...even if I don't get paid for those days! Gotta get out and get the boy some job apps. for the summer...he needs a job! Anything would be better than him lounging around here all day, not getting out of bed til 10 a.m. and driving me nuts, right?! He wants to work at Olympia Sports, but I doubt that will happen...more like a bagger or shelf stocker at Hannaford if he is lucky. Of course there is always lawn mowing....YEAH, RIGHT! AS IF!!!!!!!

Ok, early to bed tonight....gotta be rested up for my big lecture on the male reproductive system and its anatomy tomorrow. You cannot believe how attentive the little "cherubs" are when we start teaching about sex, drugs, (and rock n roll)!!!! Coulda heard a pin drop the other day....pretty funny. They try to embarrass me, but I just tell them, it won't happen, and if they do try, I can very easily turn the tables on them and THEY will wish they had kept their little mouth(s) shut. Bring it on kids!!!! Kymnasium is in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spring....It's about time!!!

Yeah, so it has been close to, if not actually, 70 degrees here the past two days...and another nice one tomorrow and through Wednesday even!!! Love that...finally!!! Of course, having NEXT week off would have suited me better for a vacation week, but what can you do?

Got the car out...cleaned, oil changed, vacuumed....like getting a new automobile every year...God I love that car!

Need to get to my gardens tomorrow...Super Sib #1 beat me to the punch. I DID think about doing it today at least, but thought better of it after looking at how many gardens I need to clean out! So, I vacuumed the house instead...good trade off as it didn't take as long, so I could go out and enjoy the day.

The Red Sox beat the Yankees again today too!!! You GOTTA love that! Hopefully the clean sweep tomorrow.

Later..................

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N.....aaaaah

Yes, it is finally here...."SPRING" vacation. But where the heck did the SPRING part go??? Another storm is brewing and this one worse than the one two days ago! Just where IS this global warming Al Gore is rambling on about???!!! haha

My plans this year are definitely NOT as good as they have been in years past...no trips to sunny Florida, South Carolina, or St. Maarten (although I am headed there next Feb.). I was hoping to get some (cough cough) yard work done, but looks like that yard work will be in the form of snow blowing! Perhaps after this one blows through, that warmer weather will arrive...one can only hope. So....at this point I am looking forward to some house cleaning instead...DOUBLE YUCK!

I did ask Super Sib #2 if we could escape for a couple of days to her place, and she most kindly obliged (Thank you Deed). Leave me a train schedule for the one leaving up the street so we can take that into Boston perhaps....and/or the directions to the one in Revere even. Perhaps I will get "daring" and actually drive into the city! Either way, it HAS to be warmer than it is here, and you said you don't have the snow...Fenway sure looks good and green!

I have to say, I was chuckling when I heard that Super Niece #1 had snow too down in DC the other day....you can kiss those cherry blossoms goodbye Caroline!! haha BTW, am sporting the tshirt you sent me this morning....LOVE IT!

Jr. calls me last night while I am out dining with the gang...tells me 'Mom, I have a problem'...a mother's worst nightmare, right? NO! He goes on to explain that something is wrong with his new bass guitar and/or the amp. or something....ok, first of all, HOW IS THIS MY PROBLEM??
'Mom, I was just telling you....you don't have to go parts for it NOW!' was his response. Uh, Kyle, I don't have to go get parts for it EVER if I miss my guess....YOU DO! So, I hung up and ate my delicious steak and salad with zero guilt. He is a piece of work sometimes, but I love him anyways! Did not love his latest report card however......mostly great, but two very low grades for someone of his intellect....or "supposed" intellect. He will put his nose to the grindstone til June now....Bass Guitar be-damned!

Ok...so I have to also make a trip to see "the mother" this week too....HAVE TO. Been since Christmas (sorry Gretchen...) and I must experience this latest mind slippage myself. Has she mentioned to anyone else that she is going to Italy(?) I believe she told me???? Hmmmm

Ok....off to do SOMETHING today....not sure what. May take in a movie tonight...perhaps the one Andy worked on "Wild Hogs"...it got funny reviews, and he said it was good.

Ciao for Niao!

Guitars, Red Sox, and 10 years....

Guitars...First let me preface this one with I did not allow my 14 year old to go to a "club" last Friday to hear some local bands. I had originally said yes, but after discussing the place with another class of kids from Old Town High, my Honor's Health kids, I was feeling even more uneasy. So, I texted my son, right then and there, period 4 on Friday afternoon, to tell him he could not go, and we would discuss it later. Of course he was angry, I mean, I changed my mind afterall....like any good woman and parent is prone to do. I explained that I was not comfortable with it, and was only trying to protect him, not make him mad. Told him parents have to make difficult and sometimes not the most popular decisions, but it was because I care so much. I don't want to take chances if I don't have to. After he got over it, he hugged me and said thank you for caring about me, Mom. Soooooo, I took him to get his Bass Guitar the next day...he has been saving, and I am contributing a minimal amount, so it was a good deal all the way around. He was literally vibrating off the seat all the way home. So, tell my nephew Tyler that they will have to get together and JAM soon!!!
Red Sox....What a great home opener...Wow.....Keep it up boys!
And finally, it is 10 years today that I lost my "best friend"....hard to believe how time has flown...until I look at my son!!! I still think of Ken everyday, and miss him just as much, but time has had a way of making it easier (except on days like this and my upcoming anniversary of course). I took today off...a mental health day of sorts, and had a good day really...At least the weather was nice today.
And speaking of such....I CANNOT BELIEVE MY EARS....ANOTHER SNOW STORM THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thinking of getting in my car over vacation and just driving south til I don't see snow!!!! Might be fun!

Have a good end of the week

Whose dumb idea of a joke was THIS????

You have GOT to be freakin' kidding me here!!!! I have 15 inches of fresh snow outside my doors....This is B.S. I cannot believe how much there is...the biggest snow storm of the year for us, and it comes in the SPRING!!! I am beginning to sound like Sibling #5 talking about the weather all the time....BUT REALLY!!! Frankly, I would like to be living vicariously through him right about now....WARM!

Ok, so no school for the 5th time this year...FYI, we had NO snow days last year, and I believe the year before as well! So much for opening day baseball games!

Gretchen....can I come sit on your couch and drink those pina coladas now???? PLEEEEEEASE.

Ah well...might as well go get to it. It's not gonna shovel or snow blow itself obviously. Now, where is that wonderful son of mine????? Won't HE be thrilled to see the work ahead of him on a day off!!! hahahahahahahahahaha

Kym who would RATHER be in the Gym today

Mother F@#!*ing Nature!!!!!

I HATE THAT WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sitting here wondering if my school year will be extended by yet another day, thus interrupting a nice long summer vaca....Oh well, I really could use another day off!!! And besides, Kym in the Gym is OUT of the "Kymnasium" in June anyhow, so I am actually ENJOYING the sunny weather with the kids! Most teachers cannot say that though....makes me feel lucky!

Ok...to address the Super Sibs blogs and comments....Easter is upon us, as is Passover...and some of us are relieved (my nieces) while others are worrying what the heck to put in our 14 year old son's basket this year!!!! No...I actually do have it all planned out, but will have to go to Super Sib#1's LEAST FAVORITE place to pick up the booty! Yes folks....WALLY WORLD AWAITS ME!!!!!
Kyle and I had a great egg hunt planned for ourselves, but this damn snow is putting the kibosch on that one! RATS!!!

Other notes of interest....what shall I get for my 17 (yikes) year old niece????? Help......

My son wants to go to this night club in Bangor with his best friend/my other son on Friday, but Mommie Dearest is leary. I actually asked my Health class today what they knew of the place.
First of all...it's called "The Underground"...which brings to mind some AWFUL thoughts to begin with. My kids in Health class said there is no alcohol served, but sometimes some "gets in" the door. GREAT! I asked about drugs...."no, not really..." What the hell kind of answer is that???!!!! So I have some friends who are parents looking into it too, and will solicit some other kids tomorrow.....I WILL NOT SLEEP FRIDAY IF HE GOES! Things just are not what they were when we were kids....Moshing is common there I hear, but Kyle's buddy is pretty protective and I trust he would not let Kyle do that if it was at all risky....I worry about someone slipping something into a soda or something....He assures me that he won't have one then...RIIIIIIIGHT! Like THAT makes me feel better. Ahhhhh, the trials of motherhood/parenthood.

Say, have you seen the EBS ad with "less than super sib #6's" husband, aka DEWALT, in it???? I was watching the NCAA games last weekend and recognized Sean....it was WAY WEIRD!

Spoke with Chris....he is "working" again at Richard's, which keeps him out of trouble I hope. I had not heard from him and was worried that the Mother might have brought my name up in a conversation she was planning on having with him about his...hmmmm, how shall I put it....Thanksgiving imbibing issues. In any event, he never mentioned it, so I don't think she has gone there yet.

My friend Mike, the pilot in Florida, told me that the Stars n Stripes Cat that raced in the last World Cup is entered in the St. Pete/Isla Majares Friendship Race this year...He is pretty excited about it....but for sure that boat will win it all!!! A pretty cool entry...there is always a Hinckley entered, but the last one broke the main mast in a knock down, and limped into Mexico shamed.....

Ok....Kym in the Gym is tired...and hoping (sort of) for a snow day or at the very least a delay tomorrow...but everytime I do that it never happens, so I might just as well go to bed. Have a good one....Enjoy this freakin' snow!!!!!!!!!!

April Fools...THAT'S FOR SURE!

AH...what a beautiful day here today...sunny and warm just the way I like it....shorts and a tee shirt to run in and I still broke a sweat! But, Mother freaking Nature has it in for us tonight and tomorrow with snow in the forecast...MEASURABLE SNOW so the Weather Channel says! Come on already!!!! Oh well...I will just stay in and watch Curt Schilling on opening day in Kansas City instead tomorrow. Of course, they will probably have a rain delay or a rain out too!

So....Sibling #1....Waiting to hear about the new cat...I keep checking for some news but none all weekend.....DO TELL!

Short on words here today...need to get on a College Financial Aid site now....they have opened this one up for future collegiates and their parents, so we can see IF we qualify and for how much. Almost afraid to look...

Enjoy the rest of the sunlight kids......you won't be seeing it for a few days again! OH.....and before I forget....I picked Ohio State to win the whole shooting match....We shall see.
