Today I finally got to have my say with regard to Kyle's basketball season and his (cough cough) Coach. I wrote a three pager on what I felt was wrong...basically that telling the kids family comes first and then penalizing a player for it by making him sit and watch the next game when his team is winning by 28 pts....that and all that yelling and negative role modelling. The guy was on a huge power trip. Kyle also got to write an evaluation...he pretty much echoed my sentiments. Sadly, this was not a good first experience into high school hoops.
As for the job that I would love to have, Super Sib #2 (by the way...that is YOU Deed...I really am three, but thanks for the "promotion" as #1 so profoundly tagged it), Kyle has no issues with me wanting that job and/or taking it if it was offered to me. He actually loves the attention he gets when his pals say, Your Mom is so cool...a phys ed teacher! That is nice to hear. But seriously, with all due respect, I would be an idiot NOT to take it...single Mom, gotta put him through college, and the pay raise would certainly help. His mortification would have to wait...in other words "build a bridge and get over that one" haha
Ok....din din time! Have a good evening Ladies.

That guy was what every columnist refered to when he talked about bad coaching. And then some..hope it doesn't hurt Kyle at any point.
I agree with SS#1. Let's hope the evaluation is echoed by a number of other parents. Down here today, the father of a 10-year-old hockey player was just arraigned for attacking an opposing 10-year-old player. Get this - the kid was leaving the rink, got his glove stuck in a door jam and pulled it out - he struck the other 10-year-old behind him by accident and apologized. But this other kid's father leaps in, calls the glove kid a jerk and starts beating on him and kicking him. NOW, this dad tells the court he has absolutely no recollection that this ever happened. ay-yi-yi...
I get what you mean, Kimmie, about the Brewer job. Didn't mean to suggest you'd be wrong to jump at it. Seriously. -- SS#2
