YES!!! Success again...think about this...we start the season a massive 13 games ahead of the evil empire and only finish 3 above them, but they lost, so who cares, right?
Then, we take the Indians (ahem...cough cough, we call them COYOTES in Old Town now!) to all 7 games ala that Yankees series where we won 4 straight. Wow, what a finish just to GET there.
And then, when I am predicting at least 5 games, maybe more, we smoke...SMOKE the Rockies in a very classy fashion. We won with pure desire, guts, and a little bit of luck. How great were the rookies this year...and the "newbies" who finally came of age when it counted? Seriously, there was never a doubt in my mind...call me stupid, but there really wasn't!
I wore the SAME Sox tshirt every night of the series, and during at least two of the Pennant games...just now threw it in the laundry...Superstition is a BAAAAD thing! But, I couldn't take any chances. Kyle even has a lucky "Schilling shirt"...like mine, only mine was not working too well during the season, although it sure did in the post season! So, every night, I would don my red Red Sox shirt with the dates of inception of the team to the present....and every night I would bless it that we won again! It was a sure thing ever since I put it on!
I even texted Super Sib #2 twice in Italy to let her know we won game 3 and then the big one!!!I hope she can get them or at least that Italy has a decent news paper!!! Can't believe she is/was not here to experience it again...RATS!
So, I too, have "raised mine right" as he is as die-hard a fan as his Mom...NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! My Principal, the YANKEE FAN, is of course pissed....GOOD! Said to me this afternoon, "so, you going home to buy your new tshirt?" To which I replied Yes, plan to wear it tomorrow! He said I better not!!! hahaha....We have a great battle every year...makes it even more fun when we win and THEY DON'T!!!
So, I got my tshirt, and one for my neighbor who is also a die hard fan as he has done so much for me during this achilles thing...wanted to show him my appreciation...he loved it!!!
Now.......I can get some sleep!!!!!!

Ty is going as Papelbon for Halloween...has red tshirt,Papelbons with green sox hat worn backwards with shamrock in front, red goggles, black compression shorts over plaid red sox pants and a cigar its a great get up!!
