Tomorrow is d-day.....AGAIN! I go in at 10 a.m. and will hopefully be home by around 3...or earlier. I just hope it "sticks" this time....not for MY lack of trying! Stupid boot.......Glad at this point that it is tomorrow as my foot is swollen, bruised, and very sore today...especially after two days of rampant shopping to get things wrapped up (get it....wrapped...Christmas...!) Yup I can still find my sense of humor even despite the circumstances. However........gentle readers..........(ha ha)...........ALREADY she is driving me nuts! You KNOW who I am talking about too....the little short one, with the wispy hair.
True-she did come and made me some delicious chowder, but she bitched about my pepper grinder...after trying to teach her how to use it (twice), she got mad and said she was too old to be taught new things...well, you KNOW I couldn't pass up a comment....So, I said I hoped I would never be too old to learn new things!
End of discussion....for the most part.
So, tomorrow it begins. The waiting on me hand and FOOT hahaha Not sure how much a girl can take of that....tons if HE'S good looking, but this is my Mother, not some handsome, dashing, fawning male I would like to have wait on me! Oh well....I know she means well, and I appreciate her being her to help..I know she must have better things to do than sit here all day long. I plan to "release" her by the weekend-that's MY plan anyhow.
Going to bed...my last GOOD night of sleep for the next 10 days while I have to keep my foot above my head lying on my back (yuck). I can't think of anything good about this...well other than the good pain killers...which would have been welcome today!
